19th
Ordinary General Chapater.
Even though the Delegates
of the General Chapter have been together for 4 days for Pre-Chapter
reflections, it is today, l February 2014, the Chapter was officially declared
open.
The day started with
morning prayer especially prepared for
the occasion by Sisters Linette and Edna Furtado. The presence of the Archbishop Bernard Moras,
as the Celebrant of the Holy Eucharist added to the solemnity of the day.
At 9.15 a.m. we , the
delegates assembled in the Chapel. The spirit of the prayer service made us feel
that the whole Congregation was present
with us. Sister Agatha Mary carrying
the Bible, led the procession to the Chapter Hall for the Solemn Enthronement
of the Bible.
With the Word of God as
the source of our inspiration, we started the 19th Ordinary General Chapter.
