FEAST OF OUR SUPERIOR GENERAL

September 6, 2014 was a day of rejoicing and gladness at the A.C. Generalate for it was the Feast Day of our dear Superior General

The day began on a note of prayer raising our hearts and voices to thank the Lord for His precious gift to us. The Morning Prayer was conducted by Sister Smitha D'Souza of the Lourdes Convent community with an inspiring power point presentation. This was followed by the celebration of the Eucharist by Rev. Fr. Saji OFM. After the Mass, the Sisters of the Generalate, Lourdes community and Saranya gathered in the community refectory to express our love and festal greetings in verse and song. During the rest of the day, the entire campus resonated with joyous felicitations as the Staff members of all the Institutions and the workers came in turn to greet Sr. Susheela with flowers, songs, prayers and gifts. Recreation with the Lourdes community in the evening was indeed delightful. The community put up a variety entertainment programme which everyone present heartily enjoyed.

We are happy to share with you some pictures of the eventful day which brought so much joy to all of us. We wish you were there too to celebrate with us!

RENEWAL COURSE FOR THE 

10+ FINALLY PROFESSED SISTERS

The Renewal Course for the Sisters who have completed ten years of Final Profession was organized at the Generalate from 9th September to 3rd October 2014, followed by the Tour Programme to Delhi, Patna and Kolkata. Sister Vimala Paul, General Councillor, was in charge of the Renewal Programme. Thirty five Sisters from the various Provinces participated. On 9th September, the Inugural session was held which began with a prayer service conducted by the Directress, Sister Vimala Paul. The Superior General inaugurated the Renewal programme by lighting the lamp at the end of the prayer service, followed by the participants, who were then warmly welcomed. 

During their month long stay at Saranya, the Sisters had sessions taken up on various topics by the Superior General and her team and other resource personnel. They also had Yoga classes to keep them in good health and some occasions for outing to Christ College and Mary Immaculate Convent, Wilson Gardens, etc. Sister Vimala Paul also accompanied the group on a tour to North India. The Sisters were happy, enriched and enlightened by their visits to various places and the opportunity to encounter various peoples and cultures across the States of Delhi, Patna and Kolkata. 

Before leaving the Generalate, the Renewal Group thanked the Generalate Team and the Sisters of the Lourdes community and Saranya by presenting a very entertaining programme at recreation.

On 13 September 2014, we bid adieu to our dear Sisters Agatha Mary and Sahana who were to leave shortly for their new field of mission at Pau, France. The Evening Prayer was held in the main chapel at which they officially received their transfers from the Superior General. We thanked the Lord for our Sisters, for their faith, love and generosity to courageously take up this new venture. 

The Sisters of the Renewal Group were also present who represented the entire Congregation to send forth our pioneers for the new mission at Pau with prayerful wishes and blessings.

May God be with our dear Sisters at Pau, France and bless their apostolic endeavours with success and fruitfulness in the years to come!
