The much awaited Carmel Blossoms
International Congress was solemnly inaugurated on 21st evening at
the Apostolic Carmel Generalate Bangalore.
All the Indian A. C. Provinces,
the Srilankan Province, the African Region
and the Kuwait and Centre Units were represented by the Carmel Blossoms and
their Animators. There were 133 Carmel
Blossoms and 34 animators in all. The participants
of the Congress were enriched by the creative prayer services, the meaningful celebration
of the Eucharistic sacrifice, melodious singing at Mass, reflective praying of
the rosaries, inspirational talks,
hearty recreations depicting the culture of different countries and regions,
lively action songs, delicious food, quiet time with nature and in the presence
of the Eucharist Lord, enthusiastic participation in different competitions and
songs, skits on Mother Veronica and a grand quiz on the Gospel of St. John.
The high point of the Congress was the
mingling of the Carmel Blossoms hailing from the countries mentioned above,
personal and reflective sharing on the theme of the Congress, “I have called
you to be My disciples”, was a very enriching and motivating experience for the
Carmel Blossoms.
The participants expressed their
heartfelt gratitude to the Superior General and her Team, to all the Sisters of
the Lourdes Community and specially to the sisters at Saranya.
The well planned and well executed programme of five days, coordinated by Sr.
Mabilia, in collaboration with the Province coordinators for the Carmel
Blossoms was highly appreciated.
